Recently, the 2023 National Canoeing Quiet Water Championship came to an end at the Liaoning Provincial Water Training Base. During the four-day competition, more than 500 athletes from 23 representative teams across China competed on stage.

Students from the School of Sports Science at Qufu Normal University represented the Shandong team in the competition and won gold and silver medals, creating excellent results. Among them, Qu Ningning and Li Xuan won the gold medal in the 500m double rowing event. Qu Ningning, Li Xuan, and Ren Chunlin won the gold medal in the 1km quadruple rowing event, Chen Wei won the gold medal in the 1km double rowing event, Dong Yi won the gold medal in the 500m quadruple rowing event, Qu Ningning, Li Xuan, and Yang Xiao won the silver medal in the 500m quadruple rowing event, Ren Chunlin，Yang Xiao won the silver medal in the 500 meter double boat (female), while Wang Chi won the silver medal in the 500 meter double boat (male).

The National Canoeing Quiet Water Championship is one of the highest level canoeing competitions held in China. All national team players, including Olympic champions, participated, and the Shandong team achieved good results of 9 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals in all 20 events.
