The School of Management was established in 2002，and it formerly was the Operations Research Institute established in 1983. Our school has “Operations Research” doctoral program and postdoctoral research station, two master’ program which are management science and engineering, and three departments, respectively the Department of Financial Management, the Department of Business Administration, and the Department of Logistics Management, providing 3 undergraduate specialties. The above programs joined Shandong Province’s High-Level Application-Oriented “Business Administration” Program Group together in 2016. Business Administration is a characteristic program in Shandong Province. Logistics Management is a key program for Shandong Province’s Characteristic Famous Universities. Operations Research and Cybernetics is a key characteristic program in Shandong Province’s 12th 5-Year Plan.

Our school has a strong teaching force, with 50 full-time teachers. Including 3 doctoral advisors, 15 postgraduate advisors, 6 professors, and 19 associate professors. All our teachers are master’s degree holders, including 29 doctoral degree holders.      Among them, one is a Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions in Shandong Province, Famous Teacher in Shandong Province and Model Worker for Enriching the People and Rejuvenating Shandong; one is a beneficiary of the State Council’s Special Allowance.

Our school now has more than 80 postdoctoral, doctoral and postgraduate students and more than 1,100 undergraduate college students. Our school insists that "teaching is our main task and scientific research serves teaching". We broaden students' horizons by strengthening academic exchanges with domestic and foreign universities. Through student Party building, study style construction, science and technology innovation, social practice, campus culture, demonstration group construction and other platforms, our school standardizes students’ behaviors, trains students' abilities and improves students' comprehensive quality. In the past 3 years, in the National English Competition for College Students, China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling, the Chinese Mathematics Competition, Shandong Contest on Logistics Design by University Students, Shandong Sand Table Operations Simulation Competition, Summer Vacation “To the Countryside” Social Practice, China (Shandong) College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition and other academic contests, our students have won 32 national awards and more than 260 provincial awards. More than 30% of our graduates take the postgraduate entrance exams, while the employment rate is above 95%, and our graduates are well received in society.

Business Administration

Business Administration is not a program for training teachers. The students study for a bachelor’s degree in management. This program mainly trains students' knowledge and ability in management, economics, law and business management, making them master the basic principles of management and economics and the basic knowledge of modern business management, grasp the qualitative and quantitative analysis methods in business management. The students are trained to become business administration personnel in industrial and commercial enterprises, financial institutions and so on.

Main courses：Management，Economics，Accounting，Financial Management，Marketing，Economic Law, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Operations Research, International Finance and Trade, etc.

Occupational Prospects: the graduates can participate in management and decision-making in government organs at all levels, or serve in industrial and commercial enterprises, customs, foreign trade, financial institutions and so on; they are badly needed in China in the market economy era.

Financial Management

Financial Management is not a program for training teachers. With corporate finance as the platform, dominated by investment and financing, centered on financial planning and analysis, this program strengthens modern IT means and emphasizes the development and utilization of accounting information to train financial management personnel who have the basic knowledge and basic skills in financial management and accounting for modern enterprises, are familiar with the international financial background, proficient in financial management and dependent on the financial market and electronic network technology.

Main courses：Management，Economics，Auditing, Statistics, Basic Accounting, Intermediate Financial Management, Senior Financial Management, Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Statement Analysis, Computerized Accounting, etc.

Occupational Prospects: The graduates can engage in financial analysis and decision-making, financial planning and management, financial system development and management in various industrial and commercial enterprises, financial departments, public institutions and government departments, or engage in financial planning at financial management departments of local governments at all levels.

Logistics Management

Business Administration is not a program for training teachers. The students study for a bachelor’s degree in management. The students mainly study the rules and features of physical distribution in such links as production, circulation and consumption, seek time and space utility in logistics economic activities, master the trends in modern logistics, relevant logistics technologies and logistics information management skills. The students are trained to become badly needed senior logistics management personnel who have mastery of modern logistics management ideas, the means and methods of information systems, with logistics management, planning, design and other practical operating capabilities. The graduates are suitable for logistics, transportation, warehousing and logistics management work in economic management departments, domestic and foreign trade companies, industrial and commercial enterprises and logistics enterprises.

Occupational Prospects: The graduates can engage in logistics system planning and management at port, freight forwarding and international trade enterprises, logistics planning, warehousing, transportation and cargo delivery design at various logistics enterprises, regional logistics, logistics base or park planning and design, or macro logistics planning and design at administrative departments of local governments at all levels.
