1. Hospital Introduction

The Hospital of Qufu Normal University (hereinafter referred to as the “Hospital”) was founded in the 1950s. It has been gradually developed over the past half century from past health room, health section, health clinic, and so on. Through the efforts of several generations, the hospital's function has evolved from a simple out-patient clinic to a small general hospital integrating medical care, health care, epidemic prevention, health checkup, public health and health education. Compared with other medical institutions in colleges and universities in the province at the present stage, no matter in medical technology, medical equipment, technical team building, department setting, and number of beds, etc., the school hospital is currently in the upstream level. In July 2016, the hospital was designated by Qufu municipal human resources and social security bureau as a designated hospital for employees in Qufu city, mainly serving the staff of the school. In addition, the school hospital has a branch on Rizhao Campus. For more than half a century, the hospital has made great contributions to the development of the medical and health services of Qufu Normal University, providing a strong guarantee for the health of teachers and students and the stability of the campus.

The following is the basic situation of the hospital.

(1) Clinical department settings

The hospital currently has the following departments: internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, regions, dental, physiotherapy, acupuncture and massage section, epidemic prevention, pharmacy, TCM pharmacy, laboratory, X-ray room, electrocardiogram room, color Doppler room, glasses fitting center and so on. There are three wards with a total of more than 60 beds.

(2) Medical equipment

The hospital has the following medical equipment: digital medical diagnostic X-ray radiography system (Shimadzu), digital gastrointestinal X-ray diagnostic machine (Neusoft), X-ray fluoroscopy machine, digital X-ray camera system (DR), dental diagnostic X-ray machine, color doppler ultrasound (2 sets), automatic biochemical analyzer (2 sets), semi-automatic biochemical analyzer, blood cell counter (2 sets), urine deca analyzer (2 sets), urine sediment analyzer, C14 helicobacter spiral bacteria detector, special protein detector (2 sets), electrolyte analyzer, intermediate frequency therapy apparatus(2 sets), microwave therapeutic apparatus, 24-hour dynamic electrocardiogram, ambulatory blood pressure recorder, oral therapeutic apparatus (2 sets), cerebral nerve enabling devices. The hospital is equipped with a digital management system and multimedia equipment. Two campus hospitals are unified with digital management.

(3) Personnel configuration

There are currently 36 regular staff in the school hospital, including 3 managers (also doctors), 15 clinical doctors, 5 nurses, 2 epidemic prevention staff, 6 pharmacists, 6 examiners, and 2 other staff. There are 28 persons with a bachelor’s degree or above, and the ratio of undergraduate or higher personnel to all employees is 74%. There is 1 doctor’s degree of Chinese medicine, 3 master’s of pharmacy, and 3 masters of medical sciences. There are 20 associate professors and senior professional titles, 2 of whom are high professional titles. In addition, due to the serious lack of staff, the hospital is now hiring 21 uncompiled medical technicians.
