Qufu Normal University General Archive Room was established in 1985, the Qufu Normal University Archives was established and awarded the title of “First Grade Archives” by the Archives Administration of Shandong Province. Now the Archives on both Qufu and Rizhao campuses cover more 800 square meters, storing over 80,000 copies of various files with 8 staff members.

The main duties of the Archives include collecting, sorting out, storing, compiling and using all kinds of important archive files from all sectors of the university. Those archive files have witnessed the development of university, constituted necessary evidence for the requirements of faculty members and students, and contributed to the development of our country and society. Those filesinclude paper and electronic files, and are classified in terms of party affairs, administration, teaching, scientific research, infrastructure, finance, facilities, publishing, foreign affairs, calligraphy and painting, audiovisual images, physical objects, figures, etc., which cover almost each and every sector of the university and truly record every stage of its development. The Archives, as the most primitive preservation of the history of the university, plays an irreplaceable role for the development of the university.

Our vision is not only in China. Every year on June 9th, we will organize various activities to commemorate the International Archives Day, and focus on annual academic activities and research topics of the International Council on Archives, to understand the latest research results by global archives experts, as well as solutions to current problems in the world archives community.

Archives are closely related to our daily work and life. It truly records our work and family as the most powerful testimony of social history and the most convincing evidence of social development.
