On May 13, Qufu Normal University and Korean National Anton University held the 10th Council of Confucius Institute of National Anton University by video. Zhang Honghai, President of Qufu Normal University, and Quan Chuntai, President of National Anton University, Jin binggui, Korean dean of Anton Confucius Institute , Wang Xiuqing, Chinese dean of Anton Confucius Institute, council members and relevant staff of the Confucius Institute attended the meeting.

Zhang Honghai congratulated the convening of the Council and thanked President Quan and Anton University for their support to the Confucius Institute. This year coincided with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Anton Confucius Institute. Zhang Honghai fully affirmed the excellent achievements made by Anton Confucius Institute in Chinese teaching, cultural communication, Confucian research and cultural exchanges in the past 10 years. It is hoped that Anton Confucius Institute will continue its efforts and make new breakthroughs in the future, so as to build Anton Confucius Institute into a platform for cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and South Korea. Zhang Honghai said that as the main body of the Chinese school, Qufu Normal University will further strengthen the cooperation and joint construction with Anton University, promote the sustainable and efficient development of Anton Confucius Institute, and take this platform to expand and deepen the exchanges and cooperation between the two universities and promote the cooperation between the two universities to a higher level.

Quan Chuntai said in his speech that the overall development trend of Anton Confucius Institute was good. He hoped that the two universities would continue to unite and cooperate, provide all-round support for the development of Anton Confucius Institute, and build Anton Confucius Institute into an innovation and win-win platform for the two universities.

The Council reviewed the work summary and work plan of Anton Confucius Institute in 2021 and 2022, the final accounts of funds in 2021 and the budget of funds in 2022, and discussed the supplementary teachers of Anton Confucius Institute. The directors attending the meeting unanimously expressed that they would spare no effort to support the work of the Confucius Institute, further promote the communication between teachers and students of the two universities, and contribute to the friendship between China and South Korea.

Finally, Zhang Honghai and Quan Chuntai jointly signed the application for renewal of authorization of Confucius Institute and the agreement on cooperation in the construction of Confucius Institute. According to the agreement, Qufu Normal University and Korean National Anton University will continue to cooperate in the construction of Anton Confucius Institute and continue to write a new chapter of win-win cooperation.
