CINB Held A Chinese Teaching Seminar

Recently, Confucius Institute in New Brunswick (CINB), a school supported by QFNU, held a Chinese teaching seminar in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. The seminar was chaired by Ms. Jing Teng, Chinese Director of CINB, and attended by Mr. John McLaughlin, Deputy Minister of Education Department of New Brunswick, President of AEI and Director of CINB, Mr. Chris Treadwell, Assistant of Deputy Minister of Education Department of New Brunswick, Ms. Dawn Weatherbie, Vice President of AEI and Executive Director of CINB, the officials of Western and Northern Education Bureau and all the Chinese teachers and Chinese teacher Volunteers.

Ms. Dawn Weatherbie warmly welcomed all the officials and teachers, and expressed her appreciation of the work and efforts of all the teachers of CINB in the past year and her heartfelt thanks and New Year's wishes to all the Chinese teachers on behalf of the Education Department of New Brunswick.

Ten teachers and volunteers showed a variety of Chinese classroom teaching, cultural activities and outstanding students’ works. A heated discussion was made about the preparations for the 2017 Chinese Spring Festival activities, the future Chinese language development and the proposals for promotion of Chinese martial arts, music and culture.

Mr. John McLaughlin and Mr. Chris Treadwell spoke highly of the efforts and contributions of CINB to the promotion and development of multi-cultures in New Brunswick in the past decade.
