February 28, 2019, 30 central media and major media in Shandong, including Xinhua News Agency, Guangming Daily, Yangguang, China News Agency, China Youth Daily, China Education Daily, Xinhua Net, People's Net, Dazhong Daily, Shandong Education, Shandong Education Daily, Qilu Evening News and Public network, gathered in Qufu Normal University to conduct joint interviews.

    Mr. Zhang Honghai, President of our school, Mr. Ma Shanjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Mr. Hu Qingxue, Vice President, Mr. Xia Yunjie, Vice President, Mr. Song Quanzheng, Researcher in the Office of Shandong Education Department and Director of News Center, Mr. Wang Zhanbo, deputy Director of News Center of Shandong Education Department, and heads of relevant units in our school attended the joint interview meeting.

    Mr. Song Quanzheng addressed the meeting. He warmly welcomed all the media friends who participated in the joint interview, and expressed sincere thanks for their long-term concern and support for the development of education in Shandong. He said that Qufu Normal University had been rooted in Confucius' hometown for more than sixty years and had accumulated a profound foundation and formed distinct characteristics. In recent years, Qufu Normal University had achieved rapid leap-forward development. A series of good deeds and achievements had attracted much attention, providing rich typical cases and reporting topics for the reform and development of higher education.

    Mr. Zhang Honghai delivered a speech at the meeting. On behalf of the school teachers and students, he warmly welcomed the colleagues of Shandong Education Department who carefully organized the event and the media friends who attended the meeting. He also expressed his heartfelt thanks for their support and love for QFNU for a long time.

    In his speech, Mr. Zhang introduced the basic situation of our school, the construction of China Teachers Museum and the school characteristic development in recent years. He said that Qufu Normal University would open its doors and arms with media friends always welcome.

Creating a New Culture Landmark of Confucius' Hometown and Promoting a New Responsibility Card of Shandong Culture

    During the joint interview, Mr. Zhang answered the media most concerned questions about why and what to build China Teachers Museum.

    Mr. Zhang said that the school party committee had taken China Teachers Museum as the leading project of the school, giving priority to the implementation of policies, the guarantee of conditions, the allocation of funds, the solution of problems and the allocation of personnel. The school party committee is currently carrying out the development strategy of "school establishment on culture", drawing on such major projects as China Teachers Museum, Chinese Academy of Education Big Data and World Confucianism Center.

A Close Glimpse of China Teachers Museum

    Accompanied by Mr. Ma Shanjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Mr. Hu Qingxue, Vice President, more than 30 reporters entered the first-stage exhibition hall of China Teachers Museum to see the collections, listen to the explanations and cover news.

    "What China Teachers Museum is doing now is nobody has done it before. It is the first and only one." Feng Fan, a reporter from Guangming Daily, said on the spot that the first-stage exhibition of China Teachers Museum was very comprehensive and surprising.

    "I have seen or heard about many exhibits only in books before, and this visit is also a good opportunity for me to learn." said Wei Haizheng, a reporter from China Education Daily.

    "China Teachers Museum is fully-equipped, impressive and opens a fresh outlook." said Xiao Haichuan, a reporter from Xinhua News Agency. He thought although the venue of the first-stage exhibition hall of China Teachers Museum was limited, the school had done a lot of work in the classification and interpretation of exhibits, and the theme and intention of the museum had been clearly conveyed to the audience.

    During the interview, the reporters also witnessed a donation ceremony of cultural relics. Mr. Guo Xinmin, a citizen of Jining, and Mr. Feng Yang, a 2004 alumnus of school of law, donated their collections of teacher and educational relics to China Teachers Museum on the spot. Song Quanzheng, a researcher in the Office of Shandong Education Department and director of the News Center, and Ma Shanjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, issued honorary certificates to the two donors.

    "The old teaching aids will be truly protected and inherited in China Teachers Museum, and can convey cultural information to more people." In an interview on the spot, Mr. Guo Xinmin said he would continue to contribute to the construction of the museum through donations. At the same time, he appealed to more collectors to pay attention to supporting the construction of China Teachers Museum.

    "As a Qufu native, I am proud that China Teachers Museum landed in Confucius' hometown! As an alumnus, I am proud of the preparation for the construction of China Teachers Museum by our Alma Mater!" Feng Yang introduced the main cultural relics he donated to the reporters on the spot.

    It is reported that China Teachers Museum is the first and only comprehensive museum with the theme of teacher culture in China, which fills in the gaps in the construction of museums in the field of culture and education.
