To tell the moral story of teachers, to feel the spirit of  teachers. On the evening of October 30, the fifth "Quyuan Teachers' Moral Forum" was grandly held in the Xingtan Lecture Hall of QFNU. Wang Jisuo, Vice Principal of QFNU, Xu Sisheng,  Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection, Qiao Zhenggao, Minister of the United Front Work Department, Guo Qingbing, Minister of the Organization Department, Zhang Longhai, Minister of the Propaganda Department, and the heads of departments such as the labor union and the personnel department attended the forum. The  "Quyuan Teachers' Moral Forum" was sponsored by the labor union and co-organized by the party committee office, the organization department, the propaganda department, the personnel department, the student work department, the youth league committee, and the faculty of Arts. The lectern was chaired by Yuan Mei, a teacher in College of Chinese Language and Literature of QFNU.

“Where the tao exists, so does the teacher.” The forum opened with the students' solemn recitation of "The Teacher's Talk". As the video clips showed the guests' style and deeds, five teachers, including Hou Yuantong, Gao Ge, Fei Fazhou, Sun Jinling, and Zhang Yingjie, the honorary title winners of our school, such as model teachers, model teachers and most beautiful teachers, went together to the podium. They shared their education stories and insights for teachers with nearly one thousand teachers and students at the scene. They had an in-depth exchange on how to be a good teacher of the "Four Haves" in the new era, from devoting to scientific research, enthusiastically teaching, teaching with morality, and infecting people with culture.

Hou Yuantong, who upholds "teaching is a work of conscience", believes that university teachers must be proficient in teaching and diligent in scientific research. During his more than 30 years of teaching, he has a passion for profession and students and guide a batch of students to the road of scientific research. Gao Ge, from his teacher Mr. Cao Wutang, realized the principle of “learning high as a teacher and morally high as a model”, always pursuing “successfully taking every lesson and teaching every student”. Fei Fazhou, a teacher who likes Tai Chi, promotes the outstanding traditional Chinese culture with high cultural awareness and confidence, whether in physical education classes or in voluntary services at Confucius Institutes overseas. He hopes that in the cultural heritage, students will have fun and learn. Sun Jinling, known by her students as a sister insists that everything is student-first, and assists student growth, guides student success, and fulfills student dreams in the role of counselor. The "small things" in her mouth that are "not worth mentioning" are the most heart-warming "big things" in the eyes of students. Mr. Zhang yingjie, who took the office as the "permanent residence", not only insisted on scientific research and devoted himself to academic research, but also approached students and solved their doubts. He believed that good university teachers should be driven by teaching and scientific research.

This event also specially invited the family representatives of five teachers to come to the scene to let everyone know more about the achievements and honors of outstanding teachers, with selfless dedication of their families. The warm scenes made the teachers and students deeply moved.

In the expert review session, Zhang Longhai, Party Committee Standing Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department, pointed out that the advanced deeds of the five teachers are moving and admirable. They keep in mind the fundamental tasks of strengthening moral education and rearing people, adhere to the original intention of teaching and cultivating people, and adhere to the ideal of scholarship with professionalism and dedication. There are a large number of excellent teachers like them in Quyuan, which fully explain the noble character and style of generations of Quyuan teachers. The teacher team is the master of creating the glorious history of Qu Yuan. I hope that the majority of teachers will build up their morals and mentorship, strive to be good teachers of the "four things" in the new era, and make contributions to the cultivation of new people in the era of national revival.

During the event, representatives of students and graduates also expressed their gratitude and blessings to teachers by presenting flowers on the stage, speaking at the scene, and connecting video. At the end of the activity, along with the beautiful melody of the school song "Song of the Plowing Bull", the five teachers summarized their teaching messages, and this session of "Quyuan Teachers' Moral Forum" ended successfully with warm applause.

The "Quyuan Teachers' Moral Forum" is an important part of our school's theme of "remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind ". As an important measure for our school to build a long-term mechanism for the construction of teacher ethics, the Quyuan Teachers Moral Forum introduced and demonstrated 23 models of teacher ethics over the past five years. It is of great significance to fulfill the mission of strengthening moral education and rearing people.
