Overseas Cooperative Universities and Colleges Send Letters of Sympathy to QFNU

    As the whole nation united and fought against COVID–19, the overseas cooperative universities and colleges sent letters to QFNU, expressing concern, sympathy and encouragement to teachers and students of QFNU.

    On behalf of Gele University, Professor Yang Jinquan, President of Gele University in Thailand, sent deep condolences and blessings to all faculty and students of QFNU, and expressed sincere admiration and appreciation to Chinese government and people who have made great efforts to fight against COVID–19. Professor Yang Jinquan mentioned that Thailand and China were close in geography, close in blood, and the two peoples shared weal and woe to help the epidemic area. He firmly believed that under the strong leadership of Chinese government, Chinese people will surely overcome COVID–19.

    Robert York, director of the International Department of University of California, Santa Barbara, also sent a letter of condolence, expressing deep sympathy and sincere greeting to Chinese government and people, expressing sincere concern and strong support to the teachers and students of QFNU in fighting against the epidemic, and expressing their willingness to share weal and woe and fight the epidemic with us. He hoped that teachers and students of QFNU could pass this special period safely, resume normal work, study and life as soon as possible, and hoped to continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with QFNU, promote more exchanges between teachers and students, and contribute to the international development of the two schools.

    The Confucius Institute of New Brunswick, which was jointly built by QFNU, sent a video of condolences. Under the guidance of Chinese  Dean Dai Zunfeng, the Confucius Institute held a Chinese Corner activity with the theme of "China refuelling", which attracted retired local teachers, bosses of mobile phone repair companies, IT engineers, primary school teachers and other people who liked Chinese culture. They all have visited China and were full of good feelings for China. The Chinese people were fighting against COVID–19, which they were deeply concerned about. In order to express their support for China, they wrote "Go China!" "Come on, Wuhan!" , and recorded a video to wish China an early victory over the epidemic.

    Qi Wanxue, Secretary of the Party Committee, wrote back on behalf of QFNU, expressing sincere gratitude for the condolences and concerns from the partners, and firmly believing that the epidemic will win under the strong leadership of Chinese government, the joint efforts of people of the whole country and the strong support of friends from all countries. As for the cooperation, Qi Wanxue also expressed good wishes, and hoped to continue to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in teacher exchanges, student visits and scientific research cooperation, so as to build more communication platforms for teachers and students, and promote the better development of international cooperative teaching for both sides.
