Recently, the Nature Index website has updated the Nature Index 2020 annual tables, showing the high-quality scientific research output of different countries and scientific research institutions in the field of natural sciences. Qufu Normal University ranks 83rd among mainland universities and the forefront of Shandong universities.

The 2020 annual tables of Nature Index is based on the tracking statistics of high-quality academic research technical achievements published in 82 top academic research publications in the world, such as Nature Series, Science, Cell, etc., by various institutions around the world in 2019.The 82 source journals are divided into four categories: Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences and Physics.The Nature Index was first released in November 2014 and has now become an important indicator for evaluating the output of high-level academic achievements of scientific research institutions.

In addition, in the "Shanghai  Academic Ranking of World Universities", our school ranks 5th among universities in Shandong Province, 92nd among local universities in China, and 164th among national universities.
