Recently, the Ministry of Education has released the list of the national and provincial first-class undergraduate professional construction sites in 2020. Ten majors of QFNU have been selected as the national ones, that is, English, Chemistry, Geography, Science, Biological Science, Automation, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Logistics Management, Drama and Television Literature, Visual Communication Design. Besides, five majors have been selected as the first-class undergraduate majors’ construction sites at the provincial level, namely Sports Training, Information and Computing Science, Psychology, Tourism Management, Musicology. This is another achievement of QFNU after eight majors were selected as national first-class undergraduate majors and twelve provincial ones in 2019. Until now, QFNU has been approved to build 18 national first-class undergraduate majors and 11 provincial ones, ranking among the top universities in Shandong province.

In recent years, QFNU has tried to meet social development and demand, put the higher education quality concept into practice, and set cultivating students’ ethics as major task. We put the students’ training in the center of education, and reform the majors set in our school. The structure of majors in our school is optimized, professional construction level is enhanced, and the school’s characteristics and development direction are highlighted.

In order to build the first-class university in Confucius’s hometown, QFNU will continue to seize opportunity, adhere to high-quality development direction, improve teaching measures, provide more support, and speed up the pace of professional courses’ adjustment.
