On May 13th, the Clarivate Analytics released the latest ESI statistics, and Material Science in Qufu Normal University ranked the top 1% of the ESI. So far, Qufu Normal University has five disciplines, namely Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science and Material Science, ranked the top 1% in the ESI global rankings.

Based on the core set database of the Web of Science, ESI, fully known as Essential Science Indicators, also called basic science indicators, is an in-depth analytical research tool. It is one of the most important indicators commonly used to evaluate the international academic level and influence of universities and research institutions. Disciplines ranked the top 1% of ESI are generally considered internationally high-level disciplines.

In recent years, the university has attached great importance to discipline construction and issued the Implementation Plan of High-level Discipline Construction. Adhering to the principle of “overall planning, layered construction, key support and comprehensive promotion”, the university has carried out the construction of first-class discipline. To promote the development of discipline as a whole, the school has set up a “engineering research center” “mathematics research center” “chemistry discipline research center” “materials science research center”, and “computer science research center”, Qufu Normal University strongly supports the platform construction and graduate admissions, aiming to achieve breakthroughs in key areas.
