To celebrate the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the opera "Wild Fire and Spring Breeze Fighting the Ancient City" was performed in Rizhao on July 4. Hu Qingxue, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Qufu Normal University, Du Qingsen, deputy director of Publicity Department of Rizhao, Xiao Mei, director of Culture and Tourism Bureau of Rizhao, Mou Yaowen, secretary of Rizhao Communist Youth League, representatives of Party members of QFNU and youth representatives from all walks of life of Rizhao watched the performance.

The opera "Wild Fire and Spring Breeze Fighting the Ancient City" was a classic Chinese opera based on Li Yingru's excellent novel of the same name in the 1950s. It depicted the Anti Japanese story in the ancient city. There were twists and turns and thrilling scenes of struggle. The opera has created such touching Anti Japanese hero images as Jinhuan, Yinhuan, Yang Xiaodong and Mother Yang, showing a magnificent and touching picture of the national anti Japanese war under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, deeply eulogizing the patriotism and revolutionary heroism of the Chinese people.

The performers were mainly teachers and students of the Music College of QFNU and representatives of excellent alumni. This performance was a tribute to the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and also another achievement of QFNU actively promoting the construction of "City + University", which reflected the teachers’ and students' persistent pursuit of art, the responsibility of promoting and spreading the artistic achievements and creating a good social and cultural atmosphere.
