On August 6, the team of Professor Yi Xianfeng from the school of life sciences of QFNU published the letter review article "call for protection of scatter hoarding rhodents" in the international comprehensive journal Science. Professor Yi Xianfeng is the corresponding author of this paper, and Qufu Normal University is the corresponding author unit. Professor Yi Xianfeng, in combination with the relevant scientific research achievements and understanding of his research team and from the unique perspective of the reciprocal relationship between driven plants, highlighted the important ecological role of scattered rodents in the forest ecosystem, proposed that scattered rodents faced the risk of habitat loss and survival threat under the background of forest fragmentation, and called for strengthening the protection and management of scattered rodents.

Since he was introduced to QFNU in 2019, Professor Yi Xianfeng has devoted himself to research in the field of animal plant relations and animal behavior ecology. He has successively won the "Youth and Entrepreneurship Talent Introduction and Education Program" of Shandong universities and the general project support of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more than ten papers in the international journals such as Journal of Ecology, Animal Behaviour, Frontiers in Plant Science and Microbial Ecology. A paper recently published on Animal Behavior (2021, 175: 1-6) was listed as the recommended paper by "Faculty Opinions", an important academic paper evaluation institution in the international biomedical field.
