Recently, the evaluation results of the 35th Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award of Shandong Province were officially announced. Qufu Normal University won 26 achievements, including 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 15 third prizes. The number of first prizes and the total number of awards ranked third among provincial universities.

This year's award-winning achievements cover 9 disciplines: 8 in history, 6 in pedagogy, 4 in economics, 2 in management and culture, and 1 in political sciences, philosophy and sociology, literary linguistics and social sciences popularization; It is distributed in 15 units: 8 in School of History and Culture, 3 in School of Economics, 2 in Party Committee Office (President's Office), School of Politics and Public Management, 1 in College of Marxism, School of Education, School of Geography and Tourism, School of Translation, School of International Education, School of Management, School of Continuing Education, School of Fine Arts, School of Sports Sciences, Confucius Institute of Culture.

Since the beginning of this year, Shandong Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award has been selected every two years. The selection process has further improved the organizational procedures on the basis of previous practices, revised the implementation rules, ideological review methods and work plan, and made improvements and adjustments in the number of awards, recommendation conditions, application time limit, optimization process and result review procedures. In order to encourage social sciences teachers to pay more attention to the research of application countermeasures, the objective scoring criteria and weight of achievements highlight the objectivity and applicability.

According to statistics, this year, a total of 1935 online application results passed the qualification examination, an increase of 763 compared with the previous session. After being recommended by authorized units, 958 results entered the selection, an increase of 335 compared with the previous session. A total of 298 awards were selected, including 4 special awards , 44 first prizes, 100 second prizes and 150 third prizes. From the number of participating results, the competition is more intense than previous years, and the situation of mutual competition, catch-up and surpassing in the social science circles of the whole province is more prominent.
