On May 3, the selection results of the 26th "China Youth May 4th Medal" were announced. A total of 122 people across China won the award. Ren Jilan, an alumnus of Qufu Normal University Education major, won the "China Youth May 4th Medal".

Ren Jilan, female, Han nationality, born in April 1992, is a member of the Communist Party of China and a teacher of Fu Luping Primary School, Dongli Town, Yiyuan County, Zibo City, Shandong Province, student of 2013 Education College of Qufu Normal University. After graduating from university, Ren became a teacher, went to remote villages to teach and educate students, worked conscientiously and with gratitude, actively cared for left behind children, and subsidized poor students with little income. She has successively won the honorary titles of "Provincial Moral Model" and "National Upward and Good Youth (good youth with respect to morality and trustworthiness)". She is the winner of the "May 4th Medal of Shandong Youth" and was once listed in the "list of good people in China".
The "China Youth May 4th Medal" is selected once a year. It is the highest honor awarded by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and All-China Youth Federation to China's outstanding youth. It aims to establish outstanding youth models with political progress, noble morality and outstanding contributions, and centrally reflects the spiritual character and value pursuit of contemporary youth.
