Zhang Honghai extended a warm welcome to Brett Berquist and his delegation, and introduced the development process and basic situation of QFNU, focusing on the school's educational characteristics, advantageous disciplines, etc. He stated that the University of Canterbury is one of the top 2% universities in the world, with high educational level, strong scientific research strength, and good academic reputation. He hopes to take this visit as an opportunity to establish a good cooperative relationship between the two sides in areas such as cooperative education, teacher-student visits, and joint scientific research, and promote the development of the international education of the two universities.
Brett Berquist expressed gratitude for the warm reception from QFNU, introduced the relevant educational situation and advantageous majors of the University of Canterbury, and expressed his great hope for extensive and in-depth exchanges and cooperation with Qufu Normal University to achieve strong cooperation, sharing and win-win situation.
After the meeting, both parties signed a cooperation framework agreement and discussed the relevant details of the cooperation between the two schools. Prior to the meeting, Brett Berquist and his team had an exchange with the faculty and students of the School of Mathematical Sciences of QFNU. They introduced the University of Canterbury and their mathematics disciplines, student studies abroad, and teacher visits, and answered the questions of interest to the faculty and students.
